Fourmile Run
WESTERN PENNSYLVANIA

Fourmile Run flows through the scenic Laurel Highlands
of Westmoreland County. This quaint fishery is stocked
with brown and rainbow trout for 11 miles, from below
the outflow of Lake Donegal downstream to its mouth
on Loyalhanna Creek, once in the preseason and once
in regular season. Though few wild trout thrive in this
stream due to the warm outflow of Lake Donegal, fishing
for stocked trout can be productive.

Fourmile Run is generally easy to access, and the beautiful
surroundings of the highlands make any fishing expedition
here worth the trip. Its lower reaches are fairly well populated
with scattered posting, with less developed wooded areas surrounding
the upper stretches closer to the dam.
