Slate Run
CENTRAL PENNSYLVANIA
|
Slate Run's increasing popularity can be attributed
to its beautiful mountain scenery and abundant wild
trout population. This mountain freestone stream flows
for seven miles through a narrow forested valley in
Lycoming and Tioga counties, where rock ledges form
deep pools and a small waterfall. Slate Run's cool waters
get low and clear in the summer months before autumn
rains replenish the stream's flow. Managed as wild trout
stream, Slate Run is no longer stocked.
